Volunteering for the Zephyr Project

updated October 2, 2007

The Zephyr Project primarily depends on volunteer restoration workers to achieve its goals.  If you would like to help restore one of the most famous passenger trains in American history, please come up and join us.

Currently, work weekends for 2008 are as follows:

Dates to be posted soon.

More scheduled work weekends will be added.  Also, there is always work available to do on the equipment.  If you would like to come up on a different weekend, please contact Eugene Vicknair at info@zephyrproject.com to see what the current work list is.  Lodging is available at the Western Pacific Railroad Museum with prior arrangement.

Some work can also be done away from the museum.  Eventually, we will need to replicate stainless steel items, such as side-skirts and fluting, that require specialized knowledge.  If you have special skills in metal working, HVAC or electrical and would like to assist the project, please contact us at the e-mail address below.

Please e-mail any information or offers of assistance to info@zephyrproject.com.  Thanks!
